Importing bookmarks from firefox 3.0

When I follow the Google recommended procedure for importing bookmarks and setting, I only get IE in the pull down menu.  I've resorted to making a HTML back up of my FF bookmarks, then making a Google Chrome bookmark pointing to the HTML list of my bookmarks.

I know of one other user who has the same problem. Anyone else encountered this, or found another solution?
