Alternative search setup / Altering “New tab” appearance?

Hi all! My first post here will contain some questions and overall thoughts. Feel free to answer any of them.

After using Chrome for more than 10 hours, I'm very happy with it so far.
What I like most is the separate processes and the way to conduct quick searches.

I could easily implement for example newegg.com as a search engine, and to search on their site I just:
- Hit Ctrl+T for new tab, cursor is focused in “omni-bar”
- Type newegg (my keyboard) and hit space
- Type search term
It takes less than a second for me to get to the point where I'm typing the search term. Freakin' awesome!

This is great and all, especially if you write fast and prefer to use the keyboard over the mouse as much as possible. However, I have friends and family that aren't as “typey” as me and they prefer the good ol' google toolbar, or the equivalent in firefox that could take different search engines.

Now, a cool feature is when you open a new tab, that you can see the most used search engines and conduct searches on them from that tab. This would be equal to the old toolbar solution, if only for one thing:
You have to be able to customize this.
What I would like to see is the ability to go in somewhere and define exactly how it should appear. How about just putting up a list of the engines defined in the options menu?
Now you have to actually use the engines before they appear.

Where do I provide feedback to google to let them know about this? I'm confident that this is something they should hear and adhere to. Is this forum in any way directly related to google? Any of their developers as regulars here perhaps?

I thought that one solution to this would be if you could somehow edit the “new tab” page appearance. Anyone know if this is possible?

My final thought is about spellchecking.
I'm from Sweden, so I write almost an equal amount in english and in swedish. In firefox, I could just rightclick and pick which language to spellcheck at the moment.
In Chrome I have to enter the options and click about 5 times before being able to change the language being spellchecked.
The most awesome thing would be a key command to change this, like cycle between english/swedish/off with only one command. And then let the user decide which ones to include in the “cycle”.
However I'm not hoping for too much, so the least they could do is bring in a right-click solution, don't you think?

Well i dont know 2 languages but i definately think that it would come in handy instead of going through all the options to change the language.
