There's no RSS reader for Chrome right now but there will be in near future. Probably a month or so.

You may be a RSS reader in few week as i read somwhere one internet that someone is developing RSS right now and they will launch it in next 1 week.

I think rather than creating plugins google would like to make sure that you can get the plugin functionality on the site itself somehow. So for something like rss reader thing google would want you to use google reader and since it will be gears enabled you can save the feeds locally and read them.

Google chrome is still an open source so they are not offering such features yet. But according to a google representative I think they are planning on creating an extension API. But surely they would not add adblock since google primary income is advertising.
