Chrome vs Safari
Posted in: Browser Compare| Internet Web Browser |

Safari is the web browser established by Apple Inc. and comprised in Mac OS X. It was 1st released as a public beta on 7 January 2003, as well as is the default browser in Mac OS X v10.3 and afterward. Safari is also native browser on Apple iPhone as well as iPod touch. Safari for Windows was released on 11 June 2007. Windows XP as well as Windows Vista is supported. Whereas Chrome supports Netscape Plugin Application Programming Interface (NPAPI) though does not stand the embedding of ActiveX controls. Chrome doesn’t have an extension system such as Mozilla-compatible *.xpi cross-platform extension architecture as well as consequently XPI-based extensions like Ad Block and Grease Monkey can not be tailored to Chrome.
Safari features full support for the Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), comprising partial support of CSS3. Safari 3 supports numerous experimental properties such as text-shadow, box shadow, text-stroke, border-image, several backgrounds for every element, resizable elements, rgba() as well as the CSS3 pseudo-element. Whereas Chrome comprises Gears which includes developer features which may or may not turn into web standards, normally relating to the building of web applications, comprising the offline support.
Safari is not a bad browser; however on PC it is not a good one. Whether its laziness, arrogance or a combination of 2, the interface which works so nice on Mac looks totally out of place on Vista or XP, and while the Chrome browser does the essentials itself, integrated RSS, great bookmark management and an incorporated search bar, there is nothing rousing about it.
Chrome has an integrated anti-phishing, an attribute which is not present in Safari. That gives Chrome a success by default, of the 2 browsers with reasonably limited evil-fighting powers, Chrome is the slightest bad.
Speed
For daily browsing, both Chrome and Safari are remarkably fast, however when you factor JavaScript in the equation, Chrome is forward by a country mile. If browser-based applications are considered Safari does not comes close to the Chrome’s speed.
Expandability
Chrome is not expandable beyond a few plug-ins, and it is a similar case with Safari: some decent add-ons which exist for Mac version, like Safari Stand or Saft, have not made it across to Windows.
Performance
Chrome is based on Webkit as well as Safari is also based on Webkit. While Safari’s Sun spider benchmarks were almost identical, Chrome was considerably faster.
Google Chrome loaded faster than Safari. Chrome was expected to be slow since the bookmarks as well as the way they are displayed certainly need work. In addition, there is no built in search bar at the top. But, overall Chrome works extremely well. The way the tabs are shown at the top of the browser windows are imaginative, it seems as if real tabs are used to see the web. Google Chrome is a foremost player in the browsers wars.

Internet Explorer bests Google Chrome …. you google addict
IE stinks.
Google Chrome and Apple Safari could kill IE.
Both are good
chrome sucks, you can say all you want, at the end of the day, IE has majority.
Chrome is great. I have to use it to QA company websites and it does load stuff faster. There are a few things that need to be fixed in Chrome, but hey it is still in Beta and everything starts out with problems.
Interestingly it also has alot of the same bugs that Safari has… not quite sure why this is, but it is.
Safari kicks IE and Chromes ass.. its just tructh..
Just to say Safari and Chrome are both good. To clear some stuff though you have to keep in mind that Chrome is still in beta. That and Safari is not as great in Windows as it is on the Mac. Bottom line is that IE is a complete piece of garbage.
I am a Microsoft kid from way back but i have to say chrome smokes IE and safari ass with out a doubt so dumb-ass rock it before you knock it and even in beta has fewer crashes and problems than IE ever had besides i don’t no about you but i am tired of viewing web pages in IE at fricking 800 x 600 res Microsoft needs to get with the rest of the world and at least move to 1280 x 1024
I say that Google Chrome is excellent for speed, performance, and security. I was very impressed with Google Chrome and enjoy using it, however I just had to switch to Apple Safari. Both are based on Webkit and I believe that Webkit is the best rendering engine for any web browser. Apple does have it’s reputation for the iPhone being still the most popular and unmatched mobile device. Apple Safari, even though Firefox took control, has been gaining more market share then ever and Google Chrome as well.
My point is, Apple Safari should be the king of all web browsers when it comes to ease of use, performance, and speed. Google Chrome definitely takes over speed, however when it comes to their UI and structure of their web browser, Safari takes the lead.

I personally really like Apple and Apple products, and have been using Safari as my default browser on my PC for some time now. I must say, though, that, despite Apple’s claims, Safari is not the “World’s best browser.” Safari is slow on JavaScript and often jams up, unable to recognize links on a page. Chrome is faster, easier to use, and more secure. Chrome also does have search bar in the browser pane–the address bar doubles as a search bar! With a built in task manager, smart tabs, and the ability to split web pages into desktop apps makes Chrome the “World’s best browser” any day.
Anything is better than IE
But I would still prefer Safari cause the GUI is more sleek and I like the the effect of “poofing” clouds when you delete a bookmark =D
Thank you Google
Chrome Muito melhor porra.!
i love safari ,safari speed than google chorme
HaHaHa wow people got called addicts the only addicted ones are the ones who still use what they’ve been using for the last forever ago. Mainly everyone over 40 uses IE cuz A. There Used to using it.
