Can Google Chrome’s Features Outsmart other browsers?
Posted in: Browser Compare| Internet Web Browser |

Google Chrome is actually the new and latest browser offered by Google. It is still in beta and hence we cannot expect it to be near perfect. Although from the look of things overall, it looks like a pretty decent and safe and faster browser compare to the others like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Safari.
The installation of Google Chrome goes off like a breeze. But it is a pity that you need to have at least Windows XP SP2 to install Google Chrome. After the installation you can actually import all the bookmarks from other browsers from the import bookmarks & settings. It takes hardly seconds to import the bookmarks depending on the bookmarks you have in the other browsers.
You can then start personalizing your Google Chrome by doing minor changes and tweaks to suit your personal settings. You can switch on or off on the password settings and also make all the settings to default depending on what you need. You can also choose the default search engine, where if you just search at the address bar, the result will be displayed using this search engine. You can also choose the home page at the tools menu.
The best part of Google Chrome is that it does not have too numerous menu or buttons to choose from, only two buttons where everything has been looked into. You have the options button basics, minor tweaks, and under the hood tabs to choose the settings and options you want to change or keep.
The keyboard shortcuts for Google Chrome have all been similar to that of Firefox. If you know those then it will be a breeze for you to use Google Chrome too.
The other important option that Google Chrome comes with is the incognito browsing. With this option you can browse any site without leaving any traces or even history of being visited that particular site. Once you switch to incognito window the cookies stored from the site and other history will be automatically deleted once you close that window and all traces will be deleted. This is an unique option which is found only in Google Chrome.
The regular web pages that you visit can be accessed through the option of quick viewer which you also see with Opera browser. You can add or access up to nine sites using this quick viewer option.
How long have you ever visited a site and got a content which you have always wanted to copy but forgotten about it. Now you can actually search all the recently visited site easily using the history search option in Google Chrome (not available in any other browser). With this you can search just like you do a Google Search and get the result from the recently visited sites. This is indeed an amazing new feature and a handy option to have in a browser.
One bad thing which should be mentioned is its bookmarking option, which is rather confusing or difficult to access when compared to other browsers.
Google Chrome could turn out to be the ideal browser if they could even improve with even more new features, which is always expected from Google.
